Vincent Oliviero, M.D.

Dr. Oliviero has training in general orthopaedics with specialties in pediatric orthopaedics and adult reconstructive surgery. Dr. Oliviero performs total hip and total knee replacement surgery at Maine Medical Center and Mercy Hospital. As well as treating many other diagnoses, Dr. Oliviero non-surgically treats scoliosis. The majority of the children in Southern Maine who have orthopaedic problems are referred to Dr. Oliviero, especially those with clubfeet and complex disorders. Dr. Oliviero is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, Maine Medical Association and the Cumberland Country Medical Association.

Dr. Oliviero was born in New York City and raised in Connecticut. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fairfield University to receive his undergraduate degree in Biology. He received his medical training at Georgetown University Medical School of Medicine, serving his general surgical residency at Georgetown University Hospital and receiving orthopaedic training from the University of Utah. Dr. Oliviero is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Before starting practice in 1976, Dr. Oliviero served 2.5 years in the United States Navy. He has four grown children and lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife.
